Role
We’re looking for a resourceful and highly structured Sales professional to help drive ROYC’s commercial growth across key European markets. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in building from scratch — building a specific region or client segment and developing a go-to-market strategy from the ground up together with other senior sales.
You will take full process ownership from mapping the addressable market to defining how ROYC engages and activates local networks. This includes segmenting client types, identifying key targets, managing cold outreach, and creating presence via industry events, partnerships, and network effects.
This is not a passive sales role — we’re looking for a doer used to outbound sales who is analytical, strategic, and relentlessly focused on execution
What You’ll Do
Lead Client Acquisition & Deal Execution
- Develop and own a country specific GTM plan – Italy and potentially other countries depending on merits and languages - working in close partnership with our Italian sales as well as allocated SDRs.
- Market mapping and segmentation: Use tools like LinkedIn, AI-based search tools, and CRM platforms to map the local market: banks, wealth managers, private equity firms, and other potential partners
- Build a target list of priority accounts, segmenting by type, size, and likelihood of conversion
- Define and execute a city-by-city or segment-by-segment rollout strategy, balancing cold outreach with warm introductions and brand-building tactics
- Design an outreach strategy combining direct prospecting, industry events, partnerships, and senior advisor-led introductions (you’ll identify and bring on senior advisors for local credibility)
- Build early network effects within local private markets ecosystems — identifying hubs, nodes, and amplifiers
- Efficiently manage your sales funnel and report in a structured way on progress, learnings, and refinements to the agreed GTM strategy
- Mentor and day-to-day support for junior team members supporting their development and readiness.
- Share best practices, provide deal coaching, and help institutionalise commercial excellence.
- Actively share knowledge and GTM feedback loops to improve sales process effectiveness.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in B2B sales, ideally selling software or technology solutions into financial institutions such as banks, private banks, asset managers, multi-family offices or private equity GPs.
- Understanding of private markets products and value chain.
- Strong experience in new market development or building a commercial region from scratch
- Experience using modern CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) to manage a structured sales pipeline, track KPIs, and drive conversion at each stage
- Experience working in close partnership with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) qualifying leads in the early phase of the funnel.
- Ability to design and execute outreach cadences/campaigns using multi-channel strategies — including cold email, LinkedIn automation, warm introductions, and events.
- Experience working with sales intelligence tools (e.g. ZoomInfo, Clay, Apollo) and AI-based research to continuously refresh the addressable market and identify new leads
- Comfortable working in low-structure, high-responsibility environments — you’re a builder, not a maintainer
- Analytical and organized — able to clearly articulate funnel mechanics, sales methodology and how to optimize pipeline performance.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive, self-starting attitude
- Native Italian speaker and fluent in English. Additional languages such as Spanish is a plus.
